Escape to Freedom

Posted in Deportation with tags on January 23, 2012 by Marco Saavedra

PLEASE TAKE ACTION: This Wednesday (1.25.12) two undocumented youth in OH face crucial hearings. Julio Tellez has been denied prosecutorial discretion twice, despite his DREAM eligibility, he is now applying for Asylum in fear of the violence in Mexico — the country he fled 18 years ago for domestic violence. Yanelli Hernandez has been incarcerated for close to a year now. She has suffered depression while in detention and attempted suicide twice. She has lived in this country for the past 10 years: beginning to work as minor to sustain herself financially. We care that she be release to recuperate her health.

If deported, he will be returned to a country he hasn’t been to in 18 years. Julio wants to study Civil Engineering and is an asset to this country. Please don’t deport Dreamer Julio.”
